Our very own SpongeBob SquarePants will marry the red squirrel, Sandy Cheeks the scientist in the forthcoming hour long Nickelodeon special episode that will air on November 6, at 8 pm. According to recent reports the Episode named, ‘Truth or Square’ will be narrated by Ricky Gervais and will include a number of celebrity guests namely, Craig Ferguson, Rosario Dawson, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, LeBron James, Pink, and Triumph: The Insult Comic Dog and Robin Williams. Wow seems this episode is going to be quite interesting with these celebrities raising the glam quotient of this animated series.

The fact that SpongeBob SquarePants is marrying Sandy squirrel left me wondering whether the marriage will last long with Sandy being quite unaccustomed to water. Also the fact that she’s a karate expert makes me feel quite sorry for the spongy boy. Imagine what kind of children they’ll have, sounds quite unimaginable, no? But we need not worry about their marriage as the marriage is only going to be a flashback of past memories as SpongeBob and friends get trapped in the huge freezer of  The Krusty Crab during its ‘eleventy seventh birthday. As they try to escape the ventilation system they remember their past moments. We will also get to see how SpongeBob found his beloved pineapple house and how he used to visit Krusty Crab in his childhood.

2009 is entirely the SpongeBob SquarePants year as animated television series which started in 1999 as a low budget cartoon has received a number of tributes from Nickelodeon this year. The fact is that the show deserves it as it is one of Nickelodeon’s highest rated shows. The how’s popularity can be judged from the fact that Miami quarterback Jacory Harris asked his teammates to watch this show. The team’s junior line backer shared that some of his teammates have become serious SpongeBob fans. So it’s another achievement in the show’s kitty.
